How Can Your Non-Profit Get Involved?

To be in with a chance to win a quarterly donation from the Giving Club of Montrose your organization or project:

  • Must be local

  • Does not have to be a 501 (c) (3), but must be supporting a worthy not-for-profit cause or project, if you're having trouble determining if your organization or project would qualify reach out to the email address below.

  • Must be nominated, presented and then selected to 'win' by the process described here.

How to Get Your Organization Nominated

To be nominated by a member of the Giving Club members have to know about your organization and/or project. A member (or several) must also be willing and passionate enough about your activities and mission to nominate and speak about them at a quarterly meeting.

The best way to make sure there are members of the club who might be willing to nominate your organization and/or project is to ask your board members, staff and other supporters to join the club. Some organizations choose to sponsor a staff or board member to attend meetings, others will simply let stakeholders know about the Giving Club incase they'd like to join.

NOTE: Our member's privacy is very important. We will not release a list of current or past members to any outside entity.

Why Sponsor a Board or Staff Member to Attend?

Although we can't predict which organization will win each quarter or how much they will receive, we have found that our members tend to select from a wide range of causes when they vote. Additionally once an organization has won they cannot be nominated again for three years, which means that one organization cannot win repeatedly in a short span of time never mind how compelling their story. This means that other organizations always have a chance to be nominated and selected even if they are be lesser known in the community. Winning non-profits are encouraged to remain in the club even after they've won, as this maintains the integrity of the club and keeps the potential donations healthy. Here are a few quick reasons to join the Giving Club:
